SUMMARY
In Western Ukraine, directly within the Polish-Ukrainian border, are located in four great national parks: National Park "Skole Beskydy", Jaworowski Park Narodowy (in Lviv), Szacki National Park (circuit Volyn), and Użański National Park (in the Zakarpattia Oblast). Formed in the twentieth century, perform important protective functions, to preserve the biological diversity of this wonderful area in terms of nature. Szacki Użański National Park and National Park, included in two important International Biosphere Reserves (MAB): UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve "Western Polesie" and an International Biosphere Reserve "Eastern Carpathians".

National Park "Skole Beskydy"
/ National Park "Skole Beskydy" - Located in the Lviv region in areas: turczańskim, old-samborskim, Drohobycz and skolskim - in Polish literature is called National Park "Eastern Beskydy". Arose 11 February 1999 year, and its total area is 35 261 ha, of which 24 639,3 ha is the zone of strict protection of nature and entirely subject to the Park Board. On the remaining area (10621,7 ha) zone is variable and fixed recreation, and the economic zone. National Park "Skole Beskydy" was derived from existing 1983 year: Skolskiego Reserve Forest and Landscape Parks "Зелемень" / "Zelemeń" and "Майдан" / „Majdan”, which was created to protect the beech and fir-beech forests. The Park is available for exploring the state historical-cultural reserve "Тустань / Tustan”. In 2010 year at the park brought in part of Polish and Spanish European Bison herd in order to settle animals in the park. Herd now has 20 individuals, and shows readiness to procreate (reproduction), indicating acclimation of animals.
Jaworowski Park Narodowy
/Yavoriv National Park - Located in the regions of Lviv and Zolkiewski Jaworowski - was 4 July 1998 year on the basis of existing 1996 Jaworowski year Landscape Park area 4190,0 ha, and adjacent to the forest holdings of military. The total area of National Park is Jaworowski 7108,0 ha, of which 2915,0 hectares of land are subject to the full jurisdiction of the Park Board, while the remaining 4193,0 ha are included in the composition of the park without expropriation owners. Geographically the park is situated at the Ukrainian Mites. Through his site runs the European Central Water Department. The park is divided into four functional zones:
- The protection zone close – 661,6 ha,
- Controlled recreation area – 1254,1 ha,
- Stationary recreation area – 30,2 ha,
- Economic Zone – 5162,1ha.
Szacki National Park
/ Шацький національний природний парк - Located in the periphery in the region of Volhynia Szackim - was created 28 December 1983 year in order to protect rare natural complexes in the Lake District Szackim. The total area of the Park is 48 977 ha. The park is divided into four zones:
1. The protection zone close – 5 144,9 ha,
2. Controlled recreation area – 12 971,1 ha,
3. Stationary recreation area – 978 ha,
4. Economic Zone – 29 883 ha.
About 14% Park area occupied 24 Lakeland Lake Szacki. In 2002 years Szacki National Park became a part of the Biosphere Reserve Szacki (about 75 k. ha). Together with the Bug River Polesie Biosphere Reserve (Belarus) and the West Polesie Biosphere Reserve (Poland) creates a UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve West Polesie.

Uzhansky National Park
/ Uzhansky National Park - Located in the periphery in the region zakarpackim wielkio-bereżniańskim. At the present site of the Park yet in 1908 the authorities of Austria-Hungary, set up reserves Stuzhycia and Tyha (the name of the nearest village). Already in 1974 Reserve Forest Landscape years he was Stężyca 2,542 ha, then 1998 year, authorities set up a perimeter Użański Transcarpathian Regional Nature Park, the whole area covered Stężyca Forest Reserve. Then have an area of Nature Park 14,665 ha, and in September 1999 year under the Regulation of President of Ukraine in its place was Użański National Park. At present Park consists of five research institutes set up to implement conservation of Nature. Its area is 39 159 ha, of which 14,9 k. hectares of land are expropriated.
Użański National Park is part of the International Biosphere Reserve "Eastern Carpathians".
Międzynarodowy Rezerwat Biosfery UNESCO „Karpaty Wschodnie”
Biosphere Reserve was created in 1992 Be the first year and has expanded to areas of the three countries: Polish, Slovakia and Ukraine. Total area of reserve is 2080,89 km ², of which Poland is part of the 1087,24 km ², Ukrainian 585,87 km ² and Slovak 407,78 km ². Biosphere Reserve "Eastern Carpathians" consists of the following elements:
- Bieszczady National Park (Poland);
- Uzhansky National Park (Ukraine);
- National Park "Poloniny" (Slovakia);
- Nadsański Regional Nature Park (Ukraine);
- San Valley Landscape Park (Poland);
- Cisna-Wetlina Landscape Park (Poland).
